Asthma Inhaler Brands

Print

Why this page is important: This is not just a list of inhalers. Five scenarios where you will need this list: 1) An inhaler is unavaiable and an equivalent is needed; eg Becotide is unavailable you can prescribe QVAR instead 2) Looking for an alternative preventer bt wanting to stay away from one already tried; for example switch from symbicort to Fostair 3) If an inhaler is unsuitable or intolerable for a patient and you need to prescribe something similar; eg patient using BECOTIDE, do not switche them t QVAR as contains same ingredient, but can swotch them to FLIXOTIDE. 4) Avoid using a LABA and LAMA together 4) If a patient mentions an ingredient you can figure out which inhaler brand they are referring to or vice versa.
